The Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema is hosting Birmingham’s 15th Annual Salsa Showdown, presented by Rubio Law Firm – a fundraising competition to determine who offers the best salsa, guacamole, queso, and specialty dip. Admission will include sampling privileges at each competitor’s station, a ballot for casting an “Audience Choice” vote, a cooking demo, access to live entertainment, beverage vending, and the Hot Pepper Eating Contest with a cash prize. Do you think you AND your teammates have what it takes? 🚀 Top winners will take home 🆒 prizes including a $50 gift card + a mystery ❓ swag box full of official Mario Galaxy 🍄 merch and Sidewalk 🛍️ swag.
Doors open at 6 pm. Puzzling begins at 6:30 pm. Registration is $50 per team (up to 4 players). As a bonus, all registered teams will be able to keep their puzzle at the end of the event!
There will be other fun activities and features available, including designated video game zones, board games, card games and specialty cocktails on the menu.
