The team at Sidewalk Film Festival is honored to announce that the festival has been named “Festival or Cultural Event of the Year” by the Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau.
This recognition reflects the incredible energy, creativity, and support that our community brings to the festival each year. From filmmakers and volunteers to audiences, sponsors, members, and community partners, Sidewalk Film Festival continues to thrive because of the people who believe in the power of independent film and shared cultural experiences.
As we look ahead to the 2026 festival, taking place August 24–30, we are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped grow Sidewalk into one of Birmingham’s signature cultural events. Together, we’re continuing to showcase bold storytelling, support emerging artists, and create meaningful experiences that bring people together in the heart of downtown Birmingham.
