Overview
- The Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema is hosting Birmingham’s 15th Annual Salsa Showdown, presented by Rubio Law Firm – a fundraising competition to determine who offers the best salsa, guacamole, queso, and specialty dip. Admission will include sampling privileges at each competitor’s station, a ballot for casting an “Audience Choice” vote, a cooking demo, access to live entertainment, beverage vending, and the Hot Pepper Eating Contest with a cash prize. This year's Showdown will be in partnership with Cahaba's Mother's Day Market. Thank you to our other sponsors: Renewal by Anderson and La Jefa.
*All Wednesday screenings are captioned if made available by the distributor.
*Films will usually have an average of 8-10 minutes of trailers before each screening.
*Seating is general admission. Arrive early to screenings if you want to ensure everyone in your group sits together.
*No outside food or beverages. We have a full bar and concessions in the cinema, and anything purchased from there can be taken into the theatre.
