- Join us before the Southern Circuit screening of When A Witness Recants to experience the art of the interview with Dawn Porter. This masterclass will explore interviewing techniques and incorporate examples from Dawn's previous films. This is a rare opportunity to learn from an accomplished director whose accolades include the Peabody Award, NAACP Image Award, Emmy Award and more. Dawn Porter is an acclaimed American documentary filmmaker and founder of Trilogy Films whose work has appeared on ESPN, Netflix, HBO, PBS, Hulu, and Apple TV+. Recently awarded the National Humanities Medal by former president Joe Biden and received the IDA Career Achievement Award. The Southern Circuit a program of South Arts and is made possible through a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. This event is limited seating, reservations are first come first served.
*All Wednesday screenings are captioned if made available by the distributor.
*Films will usually have an average of 8-10 minutes of trailers before each screening.
*Seating is general admission. Arrive early to screenings if you want to ensure everyone in your group sits together.
*No outside food or beverages. We have a full bar and concessions in the cinema, and anything purchased from there can be taken into the theatre.
