Our Film 101 series is just like film school without the annoying fear of unemployment. Every month features an important, influential film from a different decade, moving from 1903 in January to 2021 in December. Film screenings include links to additional resources to help historically and culturally contextualize the featured film. Film Synopsis: In the slums of Rio, two kids' paths diverge as one struggles to become a photographer and the other a kingpin.
