The Alabama Solution, directed by Andrew Jarecki and Charlotte Kaufman, is an HBO documentary that exposes conditions inside Alabama’s prisons – overcrowding, abuse, forced labor, corruption, and cover-ups – through firsthand cell phone footage captured by men incarcerated in Alabama prisons. We're proud to host a free community screening in collaboration with community partners, Offenders Alumni Association, Redemption Earned, The Healing Network, and UAB, through a grant from One for Justice. Following each screening, there will be a 30-minute panel discussion with Beth Shelburne, Chris England, Dena Dickerson, and Erick Buchanan.
