Seriously, not of any kind.
Though we can’t sit shoulder to shoulder in the cinema and watch a film right now, we can still support one another and indie filmmakers from afar.
The Sidewalk team has been working hard to fulfill our mission in a socially distant and socially responsible way, launching many virtual education/outreach programs and the new Sidewalk Home Video series in the few short weeks since our temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many of you have asked how to support us during this time and one of the best ways to do that is through the purchase of a membership at any level.
Our goal is to sell $30,000 of memberships over the next 30 days to sustain our team and continue our work during this temporary closure.
A few membership notes:
- Upgrade! Member tickets are now $8 all the time, instead of the previously provided 10% discount
- Membership benefits apply immediately but will be extended for one year from the reopen date of the Cinema
- Everyone who becomes a member during the 2020 Membership Drive will be invited to a special members only Close Encounters of the Third Kind event at the Cinema upon reopening
- Everyone who becomes a member during the 2020 Membership Drive will receive this Limited Edition T-shirt (be sure to put your size in the comments section of the membership form)
Here’s a breakdown of all our membership categories:
Check out the Filmmaker/Industry Membership if you’re a local filmmaker who wants discounts on class registrations and film submissions.
General memberships (Production Assistant, Second Unit, Art Department, and Casting Department) are great if you’re not necessarily a filmmaker but enjoy coming to the festival and the cinema.
Sidewalk Circle memberships are ideal for those who really want to go the extra mile to support us – and reap all the extra benefits all year long!
You can also purchase a membership at any level as a gift for someone else.
We really appreciate your support during our temporary closure and can’t wait to see you all once it’s safe for us to reopen.
