A professional spy (Sam Neil) returns to West Berlin to find that his wife (Isabelle Adjani) wants a divorce. As their marriage implodes so begins a descent into a nightmarish maze of jealousy, carnality, and terror, where identity and reality are almost impossible to distinguish.
