Our Film 101 series is just like film school without the annoying fear of unemployment. Every month features an important, influential film from a different decade, moving from 1903 in January to 2021 in December. Film screenings include links to additional resources to help historically and culturally contextualize the featured film. Film Synopsis: On the hottest day of the year on a street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, everyone's hate and bigotry smolders and builds until it explodes into violence.
