We will be looking for enthusiastic people in the following areas: Venue Management, Sidewalk Parties, A/V – Technical, Merchandise, Marketing, Transportation, Volunteer Headquarters, Ticketing, Balloting, Event Production, Guerrilla Marketing, and Hospitality.

Venues
Line Directors will ensure that all attendees are in the proper line (VIP Pass line, Day Pass line and Single Ticket line), and manage traffic flow into the venue.
Venue Assistants will assist Venue Managers with ticket taking, ushering, distributing ballots and counting attendees.
AMIA Board Festival
Volunteers will work at our parties at various locations. Some of these shifts can go late.
Balloting
Counters are stationed at Volunteer Headquarters and count the audience ballots that come in. Runners are dispatched to the venues to collect the ballots.
Festival Signage
Volunteers will be charged with putting up and maintaining festival signage.
Hospitality
We need volunteers as Floaters, Handlers, Lanyard Pickup and Lounge Manager. Volunteers do a lot of clean-up and set-up. They work with our VIPs, which includes filmmakers.
Logistics – Committee assignments are filled at this time.
Volunteers work all around the festival, but mostly traveling back and forth from our venues delivering supplies and delivering and picking up movies!
Merchandise
Volunteers will sell Sidewalk merchandise, usually t-shirts, at Sidewalk Merchandise Booth.
Parties
This committee offers opportunities as bartenders, floater/servers, set-up labor, food and cleaning, and greeters.
Sidetalks
Sidetalks are panel discussions and we may need somebody to help move chairs or fetch water. This is similar to being a venue assistant.
Sidewalk Central – Double Hours
Volunteers work outside putting up tents, moving tables and chairs. They also assist our vendors get set-up. They may also help get our stage ready.
Ticketing – Double Hours
Volunteers must attend at least one pre-festival training session. Responsible for ticket/armband inventory and cash “starts” provided at the outset of their shift and will be required to “count-down” with the Sidewalk accountant at the close of their shift.
Ticketing Back Office – Double Hours
Volunteers are stationed at Volunteer Headquarters and will assist the ticketing back office manager with cash and inventory reconciliation and management. Check box office volunteers in and out.
Technical – Double Hours
A/V techs will ensure proper set-up and use of all A/V equipment provided by Sidewalk Film Festival, monitoring film inventory, aspect ratios and sound.
Transportation – Double Hours
Volunteers drive VIPs, to and from the airport. If our VIP has a need to leave the festival footprint, our drivers will make that trip. Volunteer must provide valid license and insurance information. Shifts start early and end late.
Volunteer Headquarters
Volunteers check in volunteers and give them their name tag, perks package, a t-shirt and answer any questions they may have. Saturday morning deliver snacks and drinks to the venues for our volunteers. Occasionally requested from another committee to back-fill for one of their volunteers.
